Hatooka Castle Ruins

The castle continued for 230 years, from when Kasai's vassal, Nobuaki Koshiro Kikegawa, became the lord of Orugawara Castle in 1360 and was given more than 300 kan of land, until 18th year of Tensho, when Yonetani Repairs passed away. It is the largest mountain castle in Towa Town, measuring 500m from north to south and 200m from east to west.

It was protected by Honmaru, Ninomaru, Sannomaru and a dry moat, and the second tier went around the Honmaru and was used as a horse field. The remains of a well still remain on the east side of this step, and an old cherry tree called Daidozakura is planted on the north side of the main enclosure.
