International Exchange Center

In 1988, Towa Town and Vernon City, Canada entered into a sister-friendship city agreement, and the building was built with the purpose of promoting international exchange, developing a well-educated character as an international citizen, and nurturing youth with hopes and dreams.

The Kamisawa branch school was established in 1874. (Toyojuro Sato's home) School children studied here until fourth grade, and went to our school, Yonekawa Elementary School, from fifth grade onwards. The school building was later rebuilt, but was integrated with the main school in 1971.
